1 PM – RIVER SPIRITS INITIATION – PARADE START

World Financial Center Plaza- outside Winter Garden- North Cove Harbor

15-foot giant river species puppets and spectacular costumed river spirits kick off parade.

1:20 PM – RIVER ARIA

Irish Hunger Memorial in Battery Park City Park at Vesey Street

Performance  by Abby Fischer- opera singer & Mercy Corps Action Center presentation.

1:30 – HUDSON RIVER POEM & MOVEMENT OF THE ESTUARY

Rockefeller Park in Battery Park City Park at Murray Street.

Reading of Poetry written in the Poets House Children’s Room by the coordinator Michael Romanos.

Movement of the Estuary, dance by Noyes Rhythm Artistic Direction by Rina Rinkewich,Music:  “Water Play” composed and performed by Blake Rowe, Dancers: Marie Carstens, Irene Clark, Meghan Frank, Nada Khodlova,  Mara Morris, Jessica Rogers, Rosita Roldan, Sharon Rowe.

Steward of the River Ceremony – Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance and Battery Park City Parks Conservancy.

2 PM – DANCE OF THE RIVER GRASS

Grass Mounds-in the Hudson River Park-bet. Laight & Vestry St.

Dance of the River Grass on grass mounds with living grass costumes by Michele Brody.

Dancers: Jackie Dodd, Haley Hauglum, Yuko Mitsuishi, Christina Ferwerda, Jamie Yasgur, Kristen, Johanna Sky, Kristen Mangione and Johanna Schwarzbeck. Music by: Didge Project & AJ Block, Katie Down (Flute)

2:15 PM – CHOIR RIVER SONG

Pier 32 Pile Field @ Watts St -in the Hudson River Park

Church Street School for Music and Art Choristers, Lisa Ecklund-Flores executive director, will present songs in celebration of Mother Earth featuring Fireflies, by Owl City. Church Street School art students will wear costumes created with sustainable material.

2:25 PM – SOUNDS OF THE EARTH

Canal St. in the Hudson River Park

Performance by Marta V, Judy Sky, Leelah Holmes, and Nathan Eckenrode.

Steward of the River Ceremony – Solar One.

2:35 PM – BOAT HOUSE DANCE with paddle boarderS & windsurfers

South Side Pier 40-below Houston St.

Amanda Selwyn-Pier Dance  &  Alice Farley Dance Theater-Paddle Boarder and Wind Surfer Dance.

Performance “Passage“ choreographed by Amanda Selwyn. Dancers: Brent Carter, Christopher Coates, Michelle DuVall, Jenny Gillan, Robert Graham, Ashleigh Gurtler, Joori Jung, Natalie Mackessy, Jessica Dixon Majka, Louie Marin, Ally Sacks, and Samantha Silvers.Costume design by Anna-Alisa Belous.  Paddle Boarders: Franco Talavera, Michael Ingbar, Carol Choi, Mark Temme

2:50 PM – HUDSON-FULTON THEATRICAL VIGNETTE

Queen of Hearts Boat @ Leroy St in the Hudson River Park-just below Christopher St.

Theatrical vignette “Hudson-Fulton Fanfair” presented by Drew Vanderburg, staged on the bow of the Queen of Hearts River Boat (performance viewed from the promenade).

3 PM – OYSTER PLANTING CEREMONY

Christopher Street Pier in the Hudson River Park.

Dance performance “Rip Tide“ by Valarie Green from Dance Entropy. Performed by Amy Adams, Sarah Hartley, Andrea Brown, Joanie Johnson, Kristin Licata, Jennifer Painter. Costumes by Deborah Erenberg & Music by Black Sea Hotel (Joy Radish, Willa Roberts, Sarah Small and Corinna Snyder)

Steward of the River Ceremony – River Project.

3:15 PM – TAMING OF THE TRASH TRICKSTERS & RIVER CLEANSING

Bow Notch-semi circle bridge-10th St in the Hudson River Park.

A dance theater performance. Producer / Artistic Director / Choreographer-IngeRay.  Partnering Collaborator-Dito Sudito.  Dancers: Tova Lynn, Jen Magno, Rebekah Dinnerstein, Debra Babilonia, Dito Sudito, Jule Jo Ramirez, Wil Fisher, Esther DeCew, Michael Wilson, Cindy Sibilsky. Costumes by Chris Rumery.

3:30 PM – LIVE FISH RELEASE!

Charles Street Pier in The Hudson River Park with Hudson River Park Trust & Friends of Hudson River Park.

Stephan Said- song “Isn’t There a Dream”.  Music by Paul Pinto with opera singer Gelsey Bell.

3:45 PM – RIVER CEREMONY & HONORING OF THE LENAPE INDIANS

Pier 49 Semi-Circle Bridge Over Water @Bank St.

Performance by Silver Cloud Singers, an inter-tribal Native American singing and dance troupe

4 PM – WATER DANCE OF BOATS, RIVER CLEANSING, & HARMONIC CHOIR CONCERT

Horatio St. (bet. Water Playground at Jane St. & Gansevoort St. Pier.)

The spectacular closing ceremony combines on-the-river boat choreography by the Bessie award-winning Alice Farley, and the over-the-river concert of “River to Ocean” by renowned composer-singer David Hykes with The Harmonic Choir. River Blessing by ‘urban shaman’ Donna Henes. Closing song “Malo Melo” by Black Sea Hotel.
